Shri Vyasa Literary Club

Theme: அறிந்த வரலாறு மற்றும் அறியப்பட வேண்டிய தலைவர்கள்

Resource Person: Mr. M. Venkatesan, HOD, Department of Commerce.

            The meet started with the traditional prayers and lamp lightening ceremony which provided the bliss and blessings of the divine. Mr. T. Selvabaskar was the anchor person for the meet and welcomed the gathering. 

            Mr. M. Venkatesan, the resource person of that day, started his lecture on the theme which was so effective and useful as the known and unknown histories of the Indian subcontinent was told. He also said the braveness of the proud freedom fighters of India and the fighters from our state Tamil Nadu.

            At the end of the meet all of us got a knowlege about the Indian as well as the Tamil history and historical leaders which helped to know us about our proud history. Mr. M. Kannan delivered the vote of thanks and the meet signed off with the traditional Maithreem Bhajatha song.

Theme: A Talk on Employability skills

Resource Person: Dr. V. Vinuchakravarthy, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Business                                         Administration.

        The 4th literary club meet was started after the new year celebrations with Joy. The meeting was started with traditional prayers and lamp lightening. V. Sankaranarayanan III B.Com was the anchor person of that meeting. The meeting was made special by the presence of our beloved Principal Dr. K. R. Venkatesan sir who presided over the meeting. After the welcome address, the session was handed over to the resource person.

        Dr. V. Vinuchakravarthy, the resource person, as a business administration staff, started to share his knowledge about business. He started with a nice introduction to Employability and made us to do several activities which stated certain qualities expected by the employers nowadays. 

        The session was an enjoyable one as it consisted of both the acitivites and speech which made us to feel very delightful. Next to that, our Respected and Beloved Principal & Warden Dr. K. R. Venkatesan sir shared his wide range of thoughts with the attendees of the meeting. After his speech, Vote of thanks was delivered by M. Kannan of III BCA and the meeting concluded with Maithreem Bhajatha, the college song.

Resource Person: Mr. S. Deivasigamani, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Tamil

            The 3rd Literary club meet started with divinity and lamp lightening ceremony. The meet was presided over by our Respected and beloved Principal and Warden Dr. K. R. Venkatesan Sir. The meeting was hosted by Sankaranarayanan V of III B.Com. Mr. T. Selvabaskar, the Deputy warden welcomed the gathering which consisted of the hostel students and staffs. 

            The session continued with the wonderful speech of Mr. Deivasigamani who shared his enthusiastic thoughts about friendship. Students were eagerly listening to the speech as it was so natural and friendly. He also stated the greatness of friendship from the sangam literature and till now. He also said that Good friends lead to Good future. 

            Then, Our Beloved Principal & Warden Dr. K. R. Venkatesan Sir shared his reviews on the session and also added his own points about friendship. He also recollected the memories of his childhood which made all of us feel happy and enjoy. The meet got signed off with the vote of thanks deliverd by Bharath of I BCA followed by the traditional Maithreem Bhajatha song.

Theme: Health for wealthy life

Resource Person: Dr. P. Saravanan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Bio-technology.

Venue: Vyasa Literary Club, Shri Vyasa Ashram Boys Hostel, SSASC.

        The 2nd literary club meet started traditionally with the prayer song and lamp lightening ceremony. The meet was attended by all the inmates of the hostel including the Hostel staffs. The meeting was hosted by Sankaranarayanan V of III B.Com . Mr. T. Selvabaskar, the Deputy Warden of the hostel delivered the welcome address. Then, the resource person was honoured with a shawl and a momento. 

        Dr. P. Saravanan, the resource person shared his broad and wide knowledge on the topic "Health for wealthy life." He also added the key points from Tamil Literature as well as from various scriptures. He also insisted the students to have healthy food to lead a peaceful and happy life. Aravindh Balaji of II BCA delivered a tamil poem stating health nowadays are to be saved like water.

         After the resource person speech, the vote of thanks was delivered by Janarthanan of II M.Sc CS followed by the College song Maithreem Bhajatha by the hostel students.

    Resource Person: Dr. R. K. Balachandar, Head, Department of Physics, SSASC.

    Theme: Maithreem Bhajatha (Cultivate Friendship)

        The Inaguration of the Literary club started with the divine vedic chanting by the hostel vedic students and lightning of the lamp. The meet was hosted by Sankaranarayanan V, III B.Com. The meet was presided over by our respected Principal & Warden, Dr. K. R. Venkatesan Sir who gave the Presidential address. He, with his enthusiastic and interesting wordings, impressed the students of the hostel to organize the literary club forever. 

        The Resource person of the day, Dr. R. K. Balachandar sir, gave his wonderful speech about the topic Maithreem bhajatha which literally means "Cultivate friendship". He also shared hi memories of him with the hostel and he felt proud to be an old student of the hostel. The memories he shared was enjoyed by the students as well as the Principal as he himself is the warden of the hostel. 

        Next, Balasivam of III B.Com sang a song stating friendship is longlasting one and a special bond, especially for students whi stay together. The meeting was attended by the Hostel staffs and students which made the day enjoyable and memorable one. The meet concluded with the traditonal Maithreem Bhajatha song which was the topic of that day.
